EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team fell to Missouri University of Science and Technology, 2-0, Friday night at the Goebel Soccer Complex.
USI (3-8-1, 3-7-0 GLVC) struggled early in the contest as the Miners (5-4-1, 5-3-1 GLVC) scored two goals in the first 37 minutes of the contest. The Screaming Eagles had four shots on goal in the second half, but could not find the back of the net as Missouri S&T's Pat McNamee stopped all four shots to pick up the shutout.
The Eagles, who were outshot 15-12, return to action Sunday when they host Maryville University at Strassweg Field. USI will honor its four seniors prior to the 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
