SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team finished a three-game road swing with a 4-1 loss at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. USI falls to 3-7-1 overall and 3-6-0 in the GLVC, while Drury remains perfect at 11-0-0, 8-0-0 GLVC.
After the Panthers had jumped out to a 2-0 lead, The Screaming Eagles tried to get back into the match with a goal at 21:39 by sophomore defender Danny Pratte to make the score, 2-1. The unassisted goal was the first of the year for Pratte.
Drury would seal the victory with one more goal before halftime to make the score, 3-1, and another in the second half for the 4-1 final.
The Eagles return to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field next weekend for the final homestand of the season. USI hosts Missouri University of Science and Technology Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Maryville University October 11 at 2:30 p.m. for Senior Day.
