ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team racked up 12.0 team blocks and held host Maryville University to a .009 attacking percentage en route to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-17 victory Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Danielle LaGrange had nine kills, a .400 attacking percentage, and four blocks to lead the Screaming Eagles. Senior Melanie Pund had 24 assists and six blocks, while junior middle blocker Katie Knott had four kills, a .375 attacking percentage, and six blocks in just two sets.

USI (10-8, 4-2 GLVC), which used an 8-1 run to open the first set, had to overcome a 17-7 deficit to claim the second frame and a 2-0 lead in the match. The Eagles used a 10-2 run and a match-high .250 attacking percentage in the third game to complete the sweep.

The Eagles, who got 10 digs from sophomore libero Krista Coccaro, return to the Physical Activities Center when it hosts No. 12 University of Indianapolis Friday at 7 p.m.
