Evansville, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team renews its rivalry with long time nemesis Northern Kentucky University Friday at 7 p.m. and St. Joseph's College Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Physical Activities Center.
USI's match with Northern Kentucky is second of a four-match homestand that the Screaming Eagles started Tuesday night.
The Eagles (6-7, 1-4 GLVC) are looking to snap a four-match losing streak after a tough 3-0 loss to No. 24-ranked University of Indianapolis. Junior
Courtney Bealor (LaPorte, Indiana) led the team with 12 kills, while junior setter
Melanie Pund (Ferdinand, Indiana) added 26 assists and 16 digs in the loss.
Northern Kentucky (12-3) has done well in GLVC play, posting a 4-1 mark in the first five league matches. Senior Kristina Eisenmenger leads the Norse with 3.58 kills per set and a .375 hitting percentage.
Following its match with Saint Joseph's (7-7, 2-3 GLVC), the Eagles host the University of North Alabama Tuesday at 5 p.m. to conclude their four-match homestand.
