LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team started a two-match road swing with a 2-1, double-overtime loss to Bellarmine University Friday evening in Louisville, Kentucky. USI falls to 4-8-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the GLVC, while Bellarmine rises to 7-4-2 overall, 3-4-1 GLVC.

The overtime loss is the second straight for the Screaming Eagles in less than a week. USI lost to Quincy University, 2-1, last Sunday in the final seconds of overtime.

The Knights scored the game winning goal 3:27 into the second overtime. BU junior forward Amanda Moore scored the unassisted goal off a rebounding shot.

In the first half, USI took a 1-0 lead at the 27:08 mark when junior midfielder Shauni Boudia (Noblesville, Indiana) scored her fourth of the year. She was assisted on the tally by freshman defender Carrie Growchowski (Homer Glen, Illinois). The assist was Growchowski's first point as a collegiate player.

Bellarmine tied the match 1-1 just before halftime when Knight's junior midfielder Ashley Repholz scored at 40:22. The score would remain tied 1-1 until the second overtime.

The Knights out shot the Eagles 14-6 and had an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.

USI concludes the short two-match road trip against 24th-ranked Northern Kentucky University Sunday in Wilder, Kentucky. Kick-off is 11 a.m. (CDT).
