KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer road woes continued Sunday with a 2-0 loss to Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. The Screaming Eagles fall to 3-7-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the GLVC, while the Hawks go to 9-3-1, 6-3-0 GLVC.
After a scoreless first half, Rockhurst's junior forward Lisa Schwarz scored a pair of goals to give the Hawks the margin of victory. The first goal came just 1:42 after halftime, while the second came at the 64:38 mark to seal the game.
Rockhurst also led the match statistically by out shooting USI, 15-4, and had a lead in corner kicks, 6-0.
The Eagles, who are 0-6-0 on the road this year, have a chance to end the road trip on a winning note at Kentucky Wesleyan College Wednesday. Match time is 5 p.m. in Owensboro, Kentucky.
