INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team was swept for just the second time this season as it fell to No. 25 University of Indianapolis 30-21, 30-15, 30-22 Thursday evening.
USI (8-7, 3-4 GLVC) jumped out to an early 5-2 lead in game one, but found itself on the opposite end of a 12-2 run that shifted momentum into the Greyhounds' favor.
Indianapolis (16-1, 7-0 GLVC), which has won 13 straight matches, never looked back as it attacked at a blistering .310 clip for the match and handed the Screaming Eagles their third loss in the last four matches.
Senior middle blocker 
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) and junior middle blocker 
Meg Buschman (Reynolds, Indiana) led the Eagles offensively. Rahman finished the match with nine kills and a .429 attacking percentage, while Buschman racked up seven kills and a .417 attacking percentage.
Junior libero 
Amber Gogel (Ferdinand, Indiana) had 10 digs, while senior setter 
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) finished with 27 assists.
The Eagles return to action when they take on Saint Joseph's College Friday at 7 p.m. in Rensselaer, Indiana. They finish the weekend Saturday at 2 p.m. (CDT) with a trip to Highland Heights, Kentucky, and the No. 24 Northern Kentucky University.
