EVANSVILLE, Ind. — University of Southern Indiana senior forward Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) and sophomore midfielder Shauni Boudia (Noblesville, Indiana) scored two goals each as the Screaming Eagles defeated the University of North Alabama, 4-3, in overtime Wednesday afternoon at Strassweg Field. USI raises its record to 2-4-1 overall, while UNA falls to 4-4-0.

Collin's second goal of the match was the game-winner 4:17 into the "sudden victory" overtime period. She was assisted on the play by junior midfielder Jessica Snyder (Noblesville, Indiana).

UNA dominated much of the first half and led 1-0 after a goal by freshman forward Natalie Sherk at the 15:13 mark. USI evened the score 1-1 before the intermission on Collin's first goal of the game and the season. Collins scored off a pass from junior midfielder Lauren Pineda (West Lafayette, Indiana).

The Eagles took their first lead of the game on Boudia's first goal of the match and the season. Boudia made the score, 2-1, at 51:30 off a pass from junior defender Mallory Minor (Evansville, Indiana).

The Lions rebounded to retake the lead 3-2 with goals at the 63:14 and 84:15 mark. Boudia's second goal of the match at 86:13 sent the contest into the overtime period. USI sophomore forward Katie Teagarden (Speedway, Indiana) assisted on the goal.

USI out shot UNA 27-9 overall and had a 15-5 advantage in shots-on-goal. The Eagles also held a slim, 2-1, advantage in corner kicks during the match.

Between the posts, freshman goalkeeper Ashleigh Lemp (Osceola, Indiana) picked up her first collegiate win in her first collegiate start. She allowed three goals, while making a save during her 94:17 between the posts.

The Eagles continue their five-game homestand Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host number-one ranked Grand Valley State University at Strassweg Field. USI will finish the homestand Sunday at noon when it plays Tiffin University.
