EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team is looking to secure a spot in next weekend's GLVC Tournament when it hosts the University of Missouri-Rolla Friday at 7 p.m. and the University of Missouri-St. Louis Saturday at 3 p.m. to close out the regular season.
A pair of USI victories would guarantee the Screaming Eagles (13-13, 7-10 GLVC) a spot in the league tournament, while a win and a Quincy University loss also would assure them a spot in the post-season tournament.
The Eagles will honor their two seniors—middle blocker
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) and setter
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana)—prior to the match on Saturday as part of their Senior Day festivities. Rahman needs just 11 block assists to become USI's all-time leader, while Wilson will finish her career with more than 4,600 assists, 300 kills, 200 blocks, and nearly 1,000 digs.
USI defeated Missouri-Rolla (3-28, 2-16 GLVC) in three games, but lost to Missouri-St. Louis (14-17, 10-8 GLVC) in four games earlier this season.
