EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team recorded 13 blocks and 41 kills as it swept the University of Wisconsin-Parkside 30-12, 30-23, 30-24 Saturday at the Physical Activities Center.
Senior outside hitter
Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) had a match-high 15 kills to go with a .417 attacking percentage, while junior middle blocker
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) had seven kills and a career-high 10 blocks.
USI (15-8, 7-5 GLVC) hit .280 as a team as junior setter
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) finished with a match-high 35 assists. She also recorded six blocks and seven digs in the winning effort.
The Screaming Eagles also had 11 service aces, with freshman outside hitter
Courtney Bealor (LaPorte, Indiana) and senior outside hitter
Chelse Doubler (Griffin, Indiana) recording four and three aces, respectively.
Junior libero
Cara Keever (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) led the Eagles with nine digs as the Eagles held UW-Parkside (6-16, 3-10 GLVC) to a 0.34 attacking percentage, including a -.091 attacking clip in game one.
The Eagles return to action Tuesday when they host No. 17 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at the PAC. USI will recognize the participants of its "Little Screamers" program prior to the 7 p.m. start.
