EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team passed the century mark for the second time in 2005-06 in a 110-69 victory over Lees-McRae College Saturday afternoon at the Physical Activities Center. The fifth-ranked Screaming Eagles raised their record to 13-1 overall, while the Bobcats fell to 2-6.
The victory marked the 30th straight win at the PAC for the Eagles, five short of the school record of 35 games set between January 14, 1999, and February 22, 2001. USI also has won 49 straight games when going over the century mark.
The Eagles led the game from the opening tip. After the Bobcats pulled to within five points, 16-11, in the first half, USI put the game away with a 16-0 run and would lead by as many as 25 points in the first stanza. The margin was 22 points at the intermission, 55-33.
In the second half, USI extended the margin to as many as 43 points on two different occasions.

The Eagles recorded a USI single-season best 36 assists in the game, led by senior guardÂ
Danny Gibson (Madison, Indiana) with eight.
USI reaches the halfway mark of the 2005-06 season Monday when it begins the 2006 calendar year by hosting Oakland City University at 7:30 p.m. The Mighty Oaks are 5-6 this year. The game will mark the 44th meeting between USI and OCU with the Eagles owning a 33-10 record in the series.
