ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team stumbled for a second straight day at the Disney Division II Tip-Off Classic, losing to sixth-ranked Merrimack College, 72-58, Saturday afternoon at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. USI (0-2) will play Augusta State University (0-2) in the seventh place game Sunday at 10:30 a.m. (CST).
Augusta State lost to 13th-ranked Bentley College, 69-64, in the first game at Disney on Saturday.
After shooting over 50 percent in Friday's first half loss to Columbus State University, the Screaming Eagles have had trouble shooting the basketball. USI shot 10.5 percent from three-point range (2-19) 37.9 percent from the field (25-66) and 42.9 percent from the charity stripe (6-14) against Merrimack.

Katie Thiesenhusen (Muskego, Wisconsin) and freshman guard
Keisha Collins (South Holland, Illinois) followed Grimaldo with 11 points each.
USI did much better on the boards Saturday, losing the battle by one 43-42. Senior forward
Sabrina Brandon (Danville, Illinois) led the Eagles on the boards by clearing the glass eight times.
In the first half, the Warriors used a 15-2 run midway through the opening period to build an eight point lead, 25-17. USI would battle back with a 9-4 run of its own to cut the lead to 29-26 at the intermission.
Merrimack raced out to a 15-point lead in the opening minutes of the second half on the strength of a 13-1 run to take a 42-27 lead with 14:38 remaining in the game. The Warriors would build the lead to as many as 19 points, 70-51, with less than two minutes left in the game.
Following Sunday game versus ASU, the Eagles return to the friendly surroundings of the Physical Activities Center for a four-game homestand. The home opener is November 15 against Brescia University.
