EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team is in a three-way tie for sixth in the first NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Rankings. The Screaming Eagles are tied with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Northwood University.
Rockhurst University is ranked first in the region, while Ashland University, Hillsdale College, the University of Findlay, and Grand Valley State University round out the top five. Northern Kentucky University is ranked ninth and Northern Michigan University is 10th in the poll.
USI (12-9, 4-3 GLVC) has an important weekend in front of it. The Eagles play the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Friday at 7 p.m. in Kenosha, Wisconsin, before traveling to Romeoville to take on Lewis University Saturday at 2 p.m.
UW-Parkside (2-17, 0-5 GLVC) is searching for its first win since September 9, while Lewis (11-5, 4-1 GLVC) is looking to remain near the top of the GLVC standings.
