OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team won its season finale, 3-0, at Oakland City University Tuesday afternoon. USI finishes the year 6-12-0 overall, while OCU falls to 7-8-1.
USI freshman forward
Katy Ferguson (Evansville, Indiana) came off the bench in the first half to score the game winner at the 39:14 mark. Ferguson scored her second goal of the year off a pass from sophomore forward
Megan Williams (Mt. Vernon, Indiana).
Score remained 1-0 till late in the second half when the Eagles sealed the victory with a pair of goals after a 15 minute lightning delay with 5:39 to play. Senior midfielder
Lisa Stucki (Evansville, Indiana) scored her second goal of the year by knocking in a pass from junior midfielder
Brooklyn Gant (Evansville, Indiana) at 87:55 to make the score 2-0.
USI freshman midfielder
Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) finished the scoring with a goal at 89:00. She scored her team-best fifth of the season off a cross from sophomore midfielder
Rebecca Cripe (Argos, Indiana) for the 3-0 final.
