EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Sophomore outside hitter/libero Amanda Probst (Wheeler, Illinois) set a school-record with 32 digs and senior middle blocker Leeanne Gross (Decatur, Indiana) had 17 kills to lead the University of Southern Indiana volleyball team to a 30-25, 30-15, 28-30, 32-30 victory over Quincy University Friday night at the Physical Activities Center.

The Screaming Eagles (14-5, 8-1 GLVC) dominated the first two games, recording a .351 attacking percentage in the first two frames. Defensively, the Eagles held Quincy to just a .076 attacking percentage as they built a quick two game lead over the Lady Hawks.

Quincy (7-16, 3-6 GLVC), however, answered the Eagles' attack in the third game as sophomore middle blocker Cari Masek rang up seven of her match-high 19 kills to lead the Lady Hawks to the third-set victory.

USI's defense kept the Lady Hawks at bay in the fourth game as the Eagles held Quincy's attack to a .039 attacking percentage behind some superb net play by Gross and senior right side hitter Natalie Atzinger (Louisville, Kentucky). Each recorded a pair of blocks, while Probst picked up 12 of her 32 digs in the fourth and deciding game.

Freshman setter Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) had a match-high 52 assists to go along with 11 digs, 6 kills, and a .556 attacking percentage. Sophomore outside hitters Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) and Chelse Doubler (Griffin, Indiana) had 14 and 10 kills, respectively, while junior middle blocker Laura Ellerbusch (Newburgh, Indiana) had 10 kills and a .400 attacking percentage.

The Eagles return to action Saturday when they take on the University of Missouri-St. Louis in a 2 p.m. match at the Physical Activities Center.
