HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team dropped its first match of the weekend road trip, 1-0, at Northern Kentucky University Friday night. USI falls to 2-8-1 overall, 1-3-0 GLVC, while NKU goes to 7-2-2, 2-2-1 GLVC
NKU scored the games only goal 15 minutes (60:30) into the second half on a break away by forward Chris Thompson. USI had it chances, hitting the cross bar on several occasions and out shot the Norse 11-4.
The Screaming Eagles will finish the road trip Sunday at Bellarmine University. Match time is 11 a.m. USI returns to Strassweg Field to conclude the 2004 GLVC home schedule by hosting Saint Joseph's College October 8 and the University of Indianapolis for Senior Day October 10.
