The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team blew past Bellarmine University, 107-82, Thursday evening at the Physical Activities Center. USI raises its record to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Bellarmine falls to 7-10 overall, 2-6 GLVC.

The Screaming Eagles have won five of the last six GLVC games and eight of their last 10 games.USI has won 21 straight at the PAC and the 37 straight when going over 100 points.

The Eagles trailed only once in the first half, building a 51-43 lead by the intermission. The second half was much the same as the Eagles continued to build its lead posting its biggest lead of the game, 25 points, with the games conclusion of 107-82 final.

USI junior forward Billy Harris (Carbondale, Illinois) led seven USI players in double figures with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Junior forward Clarence Chillers (Chicago, Illinois) followed Harris with 15 points, while sophomore guard Cris Brunson (Evansville, Illinois) dropped in 14 points.

Sophomore forward Dennis Coutee (Jeffersonville, Indiana) posted his first double-double as an Eagle, 13 points and 10 rebounds. Other players scoring in double-figures were senior guard David Ragland (Evansville, Indiana), 12 points senior guard/forward Alan Goff (Terre Haute, Indiana) 11 points and senior forward Diond're Givens (Evansville, Indiana), 10 points. Givens also posted a game-high seven assists.

The next action for the Eagles is Saturday, January 18, when Northern Kentucky University comes to the PAC for a 3:15 p.m. contest. NKU won on the road University of Missouri-St. Louis, 64-52, and raised its record to a GLVC best 14-2 overall, 8-1 GLVC.
