The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team will continue to search for a solution against Rockhurst University as the Screaming Eagles fell to the Hawks, 6-1, Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri. The Eagles, who have never defeated Rockhurst, fall to 5-4-0 overall, while the Hawks go to 7-2-0.
USI also had its four-match winning streak, the longest since 1995, snapped by Rockhurst. The Hawks lead the series with the Eagles, 6-0-0.
Senior forward
Greg Henry (France) and senior midfielder
Duncan Bray (Scotland) continued to be the offensive spark for the Eagles, scoring USI's only tally on Sunday. Henry's goal was a team-best seventh of the season and he has put a ball into the back of the net each of the last five matches. Bray's assist was his team-high eighth of the season.
USI will return to action Friday, October 4, at the University of Missouri-St. Louis for a 5 p.m. Great Lakes Valley Conference match. The Eagles return to Strassweg Field Sunday, October 6, when they host Quincy University in an afternoon contest beginning at noon.
