The University of Southern Indiana softball team saw its 12-game winning streak end this afternoon as it fell to Northwood University, 4-3, in the GLVC/GLIAC Showdown at the Belleville Softball Complex in South Bend, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh and had the tying run thrown out at the plate as they fell to 26-13 on the season.
Freshman
Brandy Bates (Boonville, Indiana) gave up seven hits and four runs as she was charged with the loss. Bates struck out eight batters as she fell to 4-1 on the season.
The Eagles will play Ashland University later this evening.
