Wetzel was joined in collecting multiple hits by senior centerfielder Marcus Renn (Floyds Knobs, Indiana), who was two-for-four with two runs scored and an RBI junior first baseman Justin Konopacki (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), two-for-four with two RBIs and junior catcher Paul Kohler (Arnold, Missouri), who was two-for-four with a runs scored in the eighth spot of the line-up.

On the mound, junior left-hander Brian Anderson (Brazil, Indiana) bounced back from a rough start against Carson-Newman College to dominate the Mighty Oaks. Anderson went seven innings for the victory, allowing five hits, three runs (one earned), and struck out five batters.
