The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team kept Lewis University winless in 2002 with a 2-1 victory Friday afternoon in Romeoville, Illinois. The Screaming Eagles stayed in contention for a bid to the GLVC Tournament by raising its record to 7-7-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Lewis, which falls to 0-11-0 overall and 0-7-0 GLVC, made USI come from behind by taking an early 1-0 lead. Flyer's midfielder Pam Nackers scored the unassisted goal just 2:35 into the contest.
USI sophomore midfielderÂ
Courtney Reeder (Carbondale, Illinois) put the Eagles onto the scoreboard with a goal at 42:24 and sent the teams into halftime tied 1-1. Reeder scored her fifth goal of the season off an assist from senior midfielderÂ
Jill Hejlek (St. Louis, Missouri). The assist was the fourth of the season for Hejlek.
The Eagles got the game winner at the 76:27 mark (13:33 left in the game) off the foot of freshman forwardÂ
Alisann Shetler (Evansville, Indiana). Shetler picked up her sixth goal of the year and her second game-winner off a pass from Reeder. The assist was the fourth of the year for Reeder.

Aude de La Salle (France) was strong in goal, facing 11 Flyers' shots and making three saves.
USI will resume GLVC action Sunday, October 20, at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Match time on Sunday is 2:30 p.m. The Eagles will finish the regular season schedule with a three-match homestand, beginning Friday, October 25. The homestand will feature Saint Joseph's College on October 25 the University of Indianapolis Sunday, October 27 and McKendree College Wednesday, October 30.
