The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team had three goals each from senior forward
Ed Pieper (St. Louis, Missouri) and sophomore forward
Matt Settles (Evansville, Indiana) in its 10-1 victory over Oakland City University Friday night at Strassweg Field. USI breaks its four-match losing streak and raises its record to 4-5-0 overall, while OCU falls to 2-5-0.
In addition to the three goals by Pieper and Settles, USI had a multiple goal performances from freshman forward Matt Manning (Nashville, Tennessee).
Pieper, with two assists, was joined with multiple assists by junior midfielder
Duncan Bray (Scotland). Bray made his first start in over a week and dished out two assists.
The Eagles will return to action on the road when they travel to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Sunday, September 30. The game will start at 2:30 p.m. USI will return to Strassweg Field Sunday, October 7, when it hosts the University of Missouri-St. Louis for a GLVC doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m.
