The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team could not stop 17th ranked Northern Kentucky University in overtime, falling 83-82 in Highland Heights, Kentucky Saturday night. USI falls to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while NKU goes to 6-2 overall, 3-2 GLVC.

The Screaming Eagles led at halftime 31-24, but the Norse fought back to even the score at the end of regulation, 69-69, by shooting 60 percent in the second half. NKU also converted on six of its seven shots in overtime (85.7 percent) to outscore USI, 14-13.

Wes Attebury (Evansville, Indiana) was the only other USI player to score in double figures, dropping in 10 points.
The Eagles will have the week off before starting a seven-game homestand at the Physical Activities Center. The homestand will begin Saturday, December 15, when USI hosts Oakland City University in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
