Finished his career as a two-time national champion on the track...earned nine All-America awards, 12 All-Midwest Region honors, and 13 All-GLVC accolades...also earned first-team Academic All-America honors in 2014-15...finished second at the GLVC Cross Country Championships four times...is a three-time GLVC champion on the track...is a three-time Academic All-District IV honoree as well as a two-time first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American...was the 2014 Midwest Region Runner of the Year in cross country and the 2014-15 USI Male Student-Athlete of the Year...is a four-time GLVC Runner/Track Athlete of the Week honoree.
2015-16
OVERALL: Earned first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America and Academic All-District IV honors for the second straight year for his efforts in both indoor and outdoor track & field. CROSS COUNTRY: Did not compete (out of eligibility). INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in the mile, the 3,000 meters, the 5,000 meters, and the distance medley relay (DMR) during the indoor campaign...posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the 3,000 meters...was 11th in the 5,000 meters and 17th in the 3,000 meters at the GLVC Indoor Championships...helped USI's DMR team to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA II Indoor Championships...won the 5,000 meters at the DePauw Indoor Classic. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Earned second-team All-America honors in both the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters after finishing 12th in both events at the NCAA II Outdoor Championships...earned All-Midwest Region honors in the 10,000 meters after winning the event with an NCAA II provisional qualifying time at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays...earned second-team All-GLVC honors in the 5,000 meters after finishing second in the event at the GLVC Outdoor Championships...won the 5,000 meters and posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time at the Bellarmine Classic...also earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week honors for that effort...earned Academic All-GLVC honors.
2014-15
OVERALL: Won two national championships and five All-America honors in 2014-15...became the second student-athlete in USI history to win two national championships in the same year, joining Elly Rono, who won three national titles in 1997-98...was USI's Male Student-Athlete of the Year and earned Capital One/CoSIDA first-team Academic All-America and Academic All-District IV honors...earned six All-Midwest Region awards and was the Midwest Region Runner of the Year in cross country...also earned four All-GLVC awards...earned GLVC Runner/Track Athlete of the Week honors three times. CROSS COUNTRY: Earned All-America honors after finishing seventh at the NCAA II National Championships...the seventh-place finish was USI's highest placement at the national meet since Ben Kapsoiya finished third at the 1998 NCAA II National Championships...earned Midwest Region Runner of the Year honors as well as All-Midwest Region accolades after finishing first at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships...was USI's top finisher in three meets, including the Southern Indiana Regional Preview in which he finished first overall...also was USI's No. 2 finisher in four races...posted his fourth-straight runner-up finish at the GLVC Championships, earning All-Conference honors and Academic All-GLVC accolades in the process...was twice named the GLVC Runner of the Week. CROSS COUNTRY: Earned All-GLVC and All-Midwest Region honors after finishing second at the GLVC Championships and seventh at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships...also earned Academic All-GLVC honors...was in the running for a top-20 finish and All-America honors before passing out with 400-meters left at the NCAA II National Championships...was USI's No. 2 finisher in four meets...finished first at the Stegemoller Classic and was second at the Spartan Invitational...also was fourth at the Greater Louisville Classic. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Earned All-America honors in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters after finishing fifth in each event at the NCAA II Championships...garnered All-Midwest Region honors in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters...earned first-team All-GLVC honors in the 3,000 meters after winning the event at the GLVC Championships...also was second-team All-GLVC in the 5,000 meters after finishing second in the event at the league meet...helped USI's distance medley relay team to a first-place finish and an NCAA II provisional qualifying time at the UIndy Relays. OVERALL: Earned Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV honors for cross country and track & field. CROSS COUNTRY: Earned All-GLVC and Academic All-GLVC accolades after finishing second at the GLVC Championships...was just 10 seconds behind the first-place finisher, teammate Michael Jordan, at the conference meet...ran top five for the Eagles in all five meets he participated in...finished 32nd at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and 112th at the NCAA II National Championships...was USI's No. 2 finisher at the national meet. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Participated in the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters during the indoor season...finished fourth in the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships and was sixth in the 3,000 meters at the league meet...posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time of 14:52.59 in the 5,000 meters at the Tom Hathaway Challenge. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Earned first-team All-GLVC honors in the 10,000 meters after winning the event at the GLVC Championships...also earned second-team All-Conference accolades in the 5,000 meters after placing second in the event at the league meet...posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time of 14:35.99 in the 5,000 meters at the Washington Invitational.
2011-12
CROSS COUNTRY: Earned GLVC Freshman of the Year honors as well as All-GLVC accolades after finishing third at the GLVC Championships...finished 57th at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and was 113th at the NCAA II National Championships...earned Academic All-GLVC honors after competing in USI's top seven in six meets...was in USI's top two twice and its top three four times. HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Springfield High School (Springfield, Illinois) where he earned varsity letters in cross country, track, and wrestling...competed on four teams that placed in the top six of the IHSA Class 2A Cross Country Championships...was a three-time All-Conference performer...finished 43rd at the 2009 state meet and was 73rd in 2008...helped SHS to a fifth-place finish at the 2011 IHSA Class 2A State Track and Field Championships by finishing sixth in the 3,200 meters.
