FISHERS, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf finalized its 2020-21 season in the third and final round at the GLVC Championship on Sunday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles finished ninth in the GLVC tournament, carding their best round on day two of the outing.
USI pushed to get momentum building in its final outing of the season but struggled to find footing in the 54-hole tournament. The Eagles best round came in on the second day of competition with a team total of 338.
Senior
Grace Davis led the USI efforts with a finish of 24th and a total of 250. Davis' first round of 79 (+7) was her best as she sat tied for ninth in the tournament overall. She carded an 85-86 second and third rounds to close out the tournament. The senior led USI in par 4 scoring, par 5 scoring, and birdies while also adding 17 pars.
Freshman
Katelyn Sayyalinh carded a 255 in the three-round tournament, leading USI in par 3 scoring. Sayyalinh recorded 16 pars and three birdies over the 54-hole outing. She finished tied for 30th.
Senior
Brooke Moser finished the GLVC Championship just behind the freshman with a 258 total and tied for 35th. Moser recovered well in the second round and cut eight strokes from her day one total and added 20 pars and two birdies in the outing.
Freshman
Halle Gutwein finished 46th and totaled 265 during the tournament. Gutwein led the Eagles with 21 pars over the three-round weekend.
